Akomplice

I first saw Wemoto in “StreetWear Today Mag”, they did a pair of shoes with C1RCA, the shoes were really fresh. I ended emailing the dudes asking where I could get a pair, they told me the shoes were limited to release in only Germany. We ended up meeting in Germany at the Bright Tradeshow. We started talking and getting to know each-other, we realized that our brands were very alike but from other ends of the world. We both started out of unusual spots, us in the middle of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, them in the fashion-deficient city of Wiesbaden, Germany. They got their start back in ’03, we started in ’04. We decided to start the Akomplice x Wemoto collaborative t-shirt series. The first release is available now at the Akomplice Webstore

Akomplice x Leaders 1354 x Swiss Army :

Limited to 30 pieces worldwide, these packs will be available on May 23rd 2009 at Leaders 1354 in Chicago… soon after they will be available on the Akomplice web-store.

The term “Survival of the Fittest” dates back to Charles Darwin’s theory of Natural Selection, and in today’s tough economic climate, who can deny that survival is the name of the game? Together, Akomplice and respected Chicago-based retailer, Leaders 1354, have a combined 12 years in the industry, allowing them to build an understanding about what it takes to survive in this game. With that in mind, Akomplice has teamed up with Leaders 1354 to save the day by producing a stunning “Survival of the Fittest Pack” which includes an Akomplice x Leaders Swiss Army knife, an Akomplice x Leaders T-shirt, a certificate of authenticity and a lemon (That’s right, because when life chucks a lemon at you, say “fuck it” and make some juice.) The T-shirt features a Swiss Army knife-inspired design which highlights 10 qualities necessary for surviving life. If you’ve watched MacGyver, you already know how crucial a pocket knife is in tough times, this one just happens to look really nice. Everything comes nicely packaged in a rope-bound black box. Limited to just 30 packs worldwide, this very special release will drop on May 23rd, at 12 noon, and is available exclusively at the Leaders Boutique in Chicago (1400 Milwaukee Ave). Later the same evening, Leaders will be hosting the official Akomplice Season 10 launch party. 

Akomplice & Leaders felt it was a fitting time to introduce the “Survival Of The Fittest” pack. In tense economic times you better step the game up… The official pack is limited to 30 pieces and only available at Leaders 1354 boutique in Chicago and the Akomplice web-store. The release will be held on May 23rd 2009 at 11:00am…

Okay, okay, partying in Aspen is a whole new animal, first off it’s around 8000 ft. high, so air is thin, and alcohol hits quick. Check a few photos of the party we did up in A-Town for the Winter X Games…. I know this post is a bit late, but better late than never.
